Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer, is hiring an NOC Technician to join their team in Annapolis, MD!
**This is a 1-year W2 contract with benefits**
*SHIFT 11pm-7:30am EST.*
As the NOC Technician, you will support the Tier 2 CAS Network Operations Center (NOC), monitoring critical network infrastructure, managing incidents, and troubleshooting connectivity issues. This role is part of a 24x7x365 operations center and requires strong technical troubleshooting, multitasking, and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor network management systems and coordinate with telecom providers to drive restoration efforts.
- Track and maintain accurate incident records within incident management tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, systems, and connectivity issues while escalating when necessary.
- Support high-availability IP networks, messaging systems, and air-to-ground communications platforms.
- Monitor and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, circuits, and other network infrastructure.
- Participate in network deployment, configuration, maintenance, and process improvement initiatives.
Desired Skills:
- Associate Degree (AA/AS) or equivalent post-secondary technical training with 1–2 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Network+ Certification (Required)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols and network infrastructure concepts.
- Experience troubleshooting Cisco networking devices.
- Experience supporting HSRP and BGP routing protocols.
- Understanding of ITIL/ITSM concepts and best practices.
- CCNA Certification (Preferred)
- Experience with Remedy, Netcool, Microsoft Office 365, and ServiceNow (Preferred)
