Network Engineer - W2 only
3+ months contract – Possible extension

Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot GCCH network services at existing facilities.
- Design and implement secure connectivity patterns between Commercial Azure and Azure Government (GCC High), including routing, segmentation, and firewall configurations.
- Configure and manage Azure networking components: Virtual Networks, subnets, route tables, network security groups, Azure VPN Gateway, and Azure Firewall.
- Validate network performance and bandwidth to support migration throughput and day-to-day user access; conduct throughput testing, latency analysis, and capacity planning.
- Implement and maintain DNS (including Azure Private DNS), routing policies, and firewall rulebases to support secure cross-environment access.
- Use network monitoring tools to proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve issues (e.g., Azure Monitor/Network Watcher, SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent).
- Document network architectures, runbooks, configurations, and change records; contribute to standardized deployment and troubleshooting procedures.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required. Alternatively, candidates with at least 10 years of relevant desktop administration experience and Microsoft certifications will also be considered.
- Hands-on experience engineering networks for hybrid cloud environments, including Azure Government GCC High.
- Demonstrated ability to validate performance and bandwidth, troubleshoot complex connectivity issues, and optimize for migration throughput and user experience.
- Strong documentation skills and experience with change management processes.
