About the Company


As an MSP System Administrator (functionally a Tier III role) at Millennium IT, you handle a wide array of technical escalations and operate as an IT infrastructure leader within the organization. This role is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, onsite client support, infrastructure design, project delivery, and technical mentorship across a diverse client base. This position requires a hands-on, onsite presence at customer locations and company facilities, supporting business-critical environments with a strong emphasis on uptime, security, documentation, and customer satisfaction. About the Role


This position requires a hands-on, onsite presence at customer locations and company facilities, supporting business-critical environments with a strong emphasis on uptime, security, documentation, and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities


  • Serve as the final escalation point for complex client issues unresolved by Tier I and Tier II technicians.
  • Troubleshoot advanced issues across servers, cloud platforms, networks, storage, virtualization, and integration with application / security stacks.
  • Provide onsite support for escalations, projects, audits, and infrastructure remediation.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for high-priority outages.
  • Design, deploy, and support Windows Server / Hyper-V, Active Directory / Entra, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure / AWS, on-premises storage (SAN, NAS, DAS), edge networking appliances (e.g. Firewalls), L2 / L3 switching, and wireless networking infrastructure.
  • Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions across multiple clients
  • Implement and support security best practices including zero trust, MFA, infrastructure hardening, conditional access, patch management, and endpoint security.
  • Support governance, risk, and compliance related initiatives including audits and remediation.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, diagrams, and standards.
  • Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians and provide technical leadership.
  • Collaborate with Service Management and Account Management teams on client strategy.


Qualifications


  • 3+ years of progressive IT experience with Tier II / Tier III responsibilities.
  • Advanced expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure AD.
  • Strong virtualization experience with Hyper-V.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client environments and priorities.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
  • Excellent onsite professionalism and client communication skills with experience working in client facing environments.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites. Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.


Preferred Skills


  • Microsoft certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft AZ-800 and Network+.
  • Experience with Intune, endpoint management, firewalls and VPNs.
  • Experience leading onsite infrastructure projects or migrations.
