Our client, a Medical Center facility under the aegis of a California Public Ivy university and one of largest health delivery systems in California, seeks accomplished Medical Office (Practice) Coordinator.

*** Duration: 13 weeks, but could be extended


Notes:

  • 100% onsite role.
  • Work Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:30AM – 5:00PM (flexible...could be 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM or 07:30 AM – 04:00 PM).


Description:

  • High Risk Infant Follow-up Clinic, Oakland Outpatient Center.
  • Front desk, check patients in/out, confirm registration information, scan insurance cards, answer phone.
  • Scheduling (using EPIC electronic medical record systems, calling patients/parents).
  • Insurance authorizations (Medi-Cal, CCS, commercial payors).
  • Manage referrals and patient data with EPIC.
  • Estimated number of patients in clinic per day or calls per day if call center: 4-5 patients per day in-person.
  • Numerous calls to patients for scheduling purposes.


Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in medical office setting.
  • Strong EPIC skills or related required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Detail oriented, organized, strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Prefer Apex trained/experienced candidates.
