Pay Range: $25.10

Shift: Day, Swing, or Weekend Day

Employment Type: Contract- 3 months, eligible for extension

We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Movement Specialist to support warehouse and logistics operations at our aerospace manufacturing client in Merritt Island, FL.


The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will be responsible for handling materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting shipping and receiving processes.


Job Description:

  • Evaluate, monitor, and escalate roadblocks that could cause downstream defects while supporting root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts.
  • Safely operate PIT equipment including forklifts, EPJs, reach trucks, and turret trucks to move heavy materials throughout the facility.
  • Handle receiving and unload incoming shipments delivered by carriers.
  • Maintain shipment inspection by visually inspect incoming packages and determine acceptability per standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain quality control and review part requirements and process materials according to SOPs and quality standards.
  • Document receipts and upload, store, and close out receipts and work orders following standard procedures.
  • Perform data entry and Input and navigate inventory management systems to document physical deliveries and fulfillment tasks.
  • Package, wrap, and store parts properly throughout the fulfillment and manufacturing process.
  • Move and organize packages, crates, and containers while ensuring secure identification and storage.
  • Ensure parts are properly labeled and identified according to SOP requirements.
  • Store materials appropriately and conduct audits following standard operating procedures.


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience, including an industry with receiving and inventory functions required, aerospace or automotive experience preferred.
  • Must be ITAR compliant.
  • Safety is a top priority it is imperative that the employee strictly adheres to established safety protocols and guidelines. This includes but is not limited to, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following safe operating procedures, and participating in regular safety training sessions.
  • Employee must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dedication.
  • Communication skills within a highly technical environment.
  • Mathematical skills Analytical skills to define problems, collect appropriate and relevant data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions from gathered information.
  • Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Previous certified forklift experience.
