Manufacturing Supervisor – Lead a Team. Own the Floor. Build on a Legacy.

Are you a proven manufacturing leader who knows how to get results through people? Do you thrive in a structured, unionized environment where trust, consistency, and accountability are what separate good supervisors from great ones? If so, we'd like to talk.

General Pipe Cleaners (www.drainbrain.com) — a fourth-generation, family-owned company proudly operating since 1930 — is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our production team at our McKees Rocks, PA facility. We manufacture high-quality drain-cleaning equipment, plumbing tools, camera and inspection systems, wire forms, and accessories, which are distributed across the U.S. and internationally. We've been doing it for nearly a century, and we're built to keep going.

Why General Pipe Cleaners?

Stability that's real. Nearly 100 years in business. Family-owned. No private equity, no revolving door. We make long-term investments in our operations and our people.

A workplace built on respect. Our team is multi-generational and collaborative. The people on our floor take genuine pride in what they make — and they'll expect the same from you.

Compensation that grows with you. We pay $65,000–$72,800 annually based on what you bring to the table, with weekly paychecks, annual performance reviews, and merit-based salary increases. This is a starting point, not a ceiling.

A role with real ownership. You'll own the floor, drive results, and have a direct impact on how we operate every single day.

A company growing with purpose. Our ERP system (Infor SyteLine) is live and expanding. We're continuously improving how we work — and we want a supervisor who wants to be part of that.

What You'll Do

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll oversee daily production operations at our McKees Rocks facility, working within a USWA-represented workforce. Success in this role means earning the trust of your team, working constructively within the collective bargaining agreement, and consistently delivering results through coaching, communication, and accountability.

Your core responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate an established, unionized production workforce — building credibility and a culture of accountability within the framework of the USWA collective bargaining agreement
  • Own safety on the floor — enforce OSHA regulations and company policies, and hold every team member consistently accountable to the same standards
  • Drive production output to meet daily and weekly targets while upholding quality standards
  • Manage workload assignments and scheduling in compliance with seniority rules, job bidding provisions, and CBA guidelines
  • Coach and develop team members through clear expectations, real-time feedback, and consistent follow-through
  • Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, equipment issues, and process inefficiencies before they cost production time
  • Partner with management on continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput and reduce waste
  • Use Infor SyteLine to track production data, maintain accurate records, and identify opportunities to expand system utilization as the company grows
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and escalate maintenance needs promptly
  • Maintain accurate records of output, material usage, and labor hours to support operational decision-making
