Scion Legal Staffing has been engaged to conduct a confidential search on behalf of a nationally growing personal injury law firm that is transforming the traditional law firm model through technology, data-driven decision-making, and operational excellence. This organization is expanding aggressively and is seeking strong market leaders to help scale its litigation function across key regions.

LEGAL OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior personal injury attorney with leadership experience to step into a Pod Lead role overseeing litigation operations within Michigan. This position combines hands-on case management with team leadership, offering the ability to directly impact both case outcomes and team performance.

Attorneys in this role are entrusted with full ownership of litigation strategy, team development, and market-level performance, while working within a collaborative and fast-paced national platform.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead and manage a team of attorneys and paralegals within a designated market or pod
• Oversee case strategy and execution across a portfolio of personal injury matters
• Evaluate claims, assess liability and damages, and drive case value
• Represent clients in litigation, including depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
• Develop and implement litigation strategies to maximize recovery and efficiency
• Mentor and develop junior attorneys through coaching, feedback, and case guidance
• Collaborate with medical experts, vocational specialists, and internal teams
• Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes
• Ensure cases move efficiently through the litigation lifecycle
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and team performance

WHAT YOU BRING

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active Michigan Bar license in good standing
• 5 to 10 years of personal injury litigation experience
• Prior experience in a leadership role such as Managing Attorney, Team Lead, or Pod Lead
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and case strategy skills
• Experience managing high-volume caseloads and leading teams in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities
• Ability to think strategically, execute efficiently, and drive results

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Admission to one or more Michigan federal courts
• Experience in high-growth or high-volume personal injury practices
• Comfort working within evolving systems and scalable processes
• Experience in client-focused or performance-driven environments

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Base Salary Range: $250,000 to $350,000, depending on experience and overall fit
