Brunel is currently searching for a Maintenance Planner for our mining client located in Miami, Arizona. This position is open for a 3-4 month contract period to assist with a planned shutdown. Position is offered on a four, 10-hour day schedule at site.
The Maintenance Planner will work to develop a draft schedule with identified critical path for each shutdown.
Duties include:
- Collaborating with operations, execution and engineering to develop the shutdown work design and subsequent work packs.
- Compiling and presenting final schedule for management approval.
- Presenting the shutdown safety management plan to all participating personnel ahead of execution.
- Ensuring the accuracy of the data and information in SAP and the CMMS.
- Ensuring efficient execution of maintenance activities by developing details and actional work plans.
- Add value by eliminating bottlenecks, enabling proactive maintenance, and ensuring consistent workflow management.
- Align work planning with Asset Management principles, support structure execution process and contribute to the overall optimization of asset lifecycle management.
- Creating SAP work requests for any maintenance execution requirements.
- Facilitating draft schedule review meetings and reprioritizing tasks as required.
- Conducting safety observations and field walks to verify HSE compliance during maintenance execution activities.
Work Environment -70% office, 30% field.
Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferring in Engineering, Maintenance Management or related field.
- Minimum 1 year Maintenance Planning experience in the Mining Industry, with practical experience in Preventative Maintenance.
- Preferred 3+ years in mining maintenance planning with SAP or other CMMS experience.
- Proficiency in safety standards and procedures (MSHA regulations).
- Intermediate knowledge of preventive maintenance process and planning practices highly regarded.
- Knowledge and experience with SAP, MS Project, MS Office, Outlook, etc.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the management of scheduling, forecasting and basic budgeting.
- Knowledge of metal processing plants; conveyors, crushers, pressures, mechanical, fixed plant.
- MUST be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without the need for sponsorship.

Position offered on contract, full-time. Medical, Dental and vision insurance available and effective on first day of employment. Hourly rate commensurate with experience starting at $60/hr. Position will be needed for 3-4 months, but has potential for opportunity to go long-term and/or potential for direct hire for the right person if business needs arise.
