Litigation Support Professional


Position Summary

The Litigation Support Professional provides operational, administrative, and technical support to attorneys and legal analysts. This role assists with case intake, calendaring, filing preparation,

formatting, document management, and litigation support functions to ensure efficient case

management and department operations. The ideal candidate has a long-term interest in litigation support and paralegal work.


Core Responsibilities

Administrative & Operations Support


Assist with case intake and matter setup

Support conflict check process

Maintain case and matter organization

Coordinate scheduling and calendaring

Assist with travel coordination and logistics

Maintain trackers, templates, and workflow systems


Litigation Support


Assist with preparation of documents for filing in state and federal courts

Support e-filing preparation and submission processes

Assist with organization of case-related materials and workflows

Coordinate with vendors and internal support teams


Court Filing & Docket Support


Assist with electronic filings through NYSCEF, PACER/ECF, and other court filing systems

Save and organize Notices of Electronic Filing (NEFs), confirmations, and filed documents

Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals regarding filing deadlines and submission

requirements


Technical & Document Support


Format legal documents and apply firm styles

Troubleshoot basic formatting and technical document issues

Assist with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, NetDocs, and litigation support platforms

Help maintain templates, styles, and document formatting standards


Document & Database Management


Maintain organized electronic file structures and naming conventions

Upload and profile documents within document management systems

Assist with maintaining internal databases, trackers, and matter records

Ensure documents are properly saved, labeled, and versioned


Team Support


Assist with department-wide administrative projects

Help maintain internal procedures and resource materials


Preferred Qualifications


Experience within law firm or in-house legal department

Commitment to paralegal or litigation support experience

Strong organizational and administrative skills

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google workspace and Adobe Acrobat

Familiarity with NYSCEF, PACER/ECF, or other e-filing systems preferred

Experience with document management systems such as NetDocs preferred

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment

Strong attention to detail and communication skills
