Leveraged Finance Associate Attorney (Fund Finance & Private Credit)
Location: New York, California, and multiple other US offices.
A top-tier global law firm is seeking a mid-level Leveraged Finance Associate to join its growing finance platform, with a focus on fund finance and private credit transactions. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on cutting-edge financing structures alongside a nationally recognized team advising leading financial institutions and market participants.
This role offers exposure to a broad range of complex financing matters and the ability to play a key role in high-value, multi-jurisdictional transactions.
What You’ll Do
- Advise lenders, arrangers, and borrowers on fund finance, private credit, and leveraged finance transactions
- Structure, draft, and negotiate credit agreements and related financing documentation
- Work on subscription line facilities, NAV facilities, and other structured finance products
- Support debt capital markets and structured finance transactions
- Lead and manage transaction processes from initial structuring through closing
- Conduct legal analysis and provide strategic guidance on complex financing issues
- Collaborate across offices and practice groups on multi-faceted transactions
What They’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in leveraged finance, fund finance, private credit, debt capital markets, or structured finance
- Strong drafting and negotiation experience with credit agreements and financing documents
- Demonstrated ability to manage transactions and work directly with clients
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Strong business judgment and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing competing priorities
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction
- J.D. required, along with prior experience working in a law firm
