A respected CBD plaintiff firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support attorneys handling active civil litigation matters. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the right-hand to a preeminent attorney, managing multiple cases, staying organized, and keeping litigation moving forward.
Responsibilities
• Draft and revise pleadings, motions, discovery, and subpoenas
• File documents in Louisiana state and federal courts
• Track deadlines and maintain litigation calendars
• Organize case files, exhibits, and supporting documentation
• Assist with depositions, hearings, and trial preparation
• Coordinate scheduling with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel
Qualifications
• 5+ years of litigation experience as a paralegal or legal assistant
• Civil litigation background required; plaintiff experience preferred
• Familiarity with state and federal court procedures and filings
• Strong attention to detail and document formatting skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a busy practice
