Job Description:

A Leasing Agent at MAO is responsible for negotiating and securing oil and gas lease agreements, easements, and related land rights in support of energy development projects throughout Southwest Pennsylvania. This hybrid role combines field-based landowner relations with remote administrative, reporting, and project coordination responsibilities. The ideal candidate possesses strong negotiation skills, knowledge of mineral rights and title research, and the ability to build productive relationships with landowners, clients, and project teams.



Responsibilities

  • :Research property ownership, mineral interests, and title information using courthouse records, online databases, GIS platforms, and internal systems
  • .Contact and meet with landowners to negotiate oil and gas leases, rights-of-way, surface use agreements, amendments, ratifications, and easements
  • .Explain lease terms, project impacts, compensation structures, and operational timelines to landowners in a professional and transparent manner
  • .Secure executed agreements that comply with client requirements, company standards, and applicable state regulations
  • .Maintain accurate documentation of negotiations, signed agreements, correspondence, and project status updates
  • .Coordinate with project managers, title agents, attorneys, and curative specialists to resolve ownership or title issues
  • .Prepare daily activity reports, acquisition summaries, and other project-related deliverables
  • .Utilize mapping software, spreadsheets, and land management databases to track progress and maintain project accuracy
  • .Conduct field visits throughout Southwest Pennsylvania and surrounding areas as needed
  • .Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies, client directives, and industry best practices
  • .Build and maintain positive working relationships with landowners, local stakeholders, and project teams
