JOB DESCRIPTION - PERM - flex hybrid (3 days)
We are seeking an experienced Lead Network Platform Engineer/Architect for our clients to design, build, and modernize our network and server/storage infrastructure. This role will focus on automation, cloud migration, and multi-cloud architecture while ensuring security and efficiency across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network engineering, cloud services, and Zero Trust security frameworks, with a proven ability to lead modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement multi-cloud environments leveraging AWS and Azure.
- Lead network platform design and deployment, including on-prem to cloud migration strategies.
- Drive automation across network and storage platforms using Python and PowerShell.
- Design and maintain network diagrams, process flows, and connectivity documentation.
- Implement Zero Trust security frameworks with layered security principles.
- Optimize and expand the use of Zscaler and other security tools.
- Build and integrate virtual storage solutions and link storage systems efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy on-prem infrastructure and create cloud-based services.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of network platforms.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of experience in network engineering and architecture.
- Strong background in server/storage platform engineering and cloud migration.
- Expertise in cloud architecture and deployment. (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud)
- Proficiency in network automation and AIC tools (Python, PowerShell).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, and core networking technologies.
- Familiarity with Zscaler and advanced security capabilities.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust Framework and layered security models.
- Experience building and deploying networks in hybrid and cloud environments.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience leading modernization projects for large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong documentation and process design skills. Ability to work in fast-paced, evolving technology environments.
Compensation:
$140,000 to $170,000 per year annual salary.
