Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Laboratory Technician based in Plano, TX. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you will support day-to-day lab operations including sample preparation, product formulation, and maintenance of laboratory standards in alignment with GMP and quality system requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare product samples for testing, sensory evaluation, and quality review across nicotine and nutraceutical pouch lines
• Assist with formulation activities including weighing, blending, and mixing of ingredients according to established specifications and SOPs
• Maintain accurate and complete laboratory records, batch documentation, and data logs in compliance with GMP requirements
• Perform routine lab maintenance tasks including cleaning, organizing, and ensuring proper storage of raw materials and lab supplies
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment; escalate service needs as appropriate
• Assist with incoming material inspections and quality sampling per defined sampling plans
• Follow all safety protocols including proper handling of nicotine and other regulated or bioactive materials
• Support quality and regulatory documentation efforts as directed
• Collaborate with lab leadership on continuous improvement initiatives and SOP development
Required Qualifications
• 0–2 years of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, food science, or related environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and execution
• Ability to follow written SOPs, work instructions, and verbal direction
• Basic math and measurement skills (weights, percentages, unit conversions)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline (preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with GMP, quality systems, or regulatory documentation in a food, pharma, or nutraceutical context
• Experience with analytical or sensory evaluation techniques
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This role requires the ability and willingness to meet the following physical and environmental conditions:
• Lift, carry, and move materials, sometimes weighing up to 50 lbs., on a regular basis
• Stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods during a full shift
• Work in a manufacturing and laboratory environment that may include elevated noise levels; hearing protection will be provided where required
• Consume product samples as part of sensory evaluation and quality testing activities, including products containing nicotine, caffeine, and other nutraceutical ingredients — candidates must be comfortable with this requirement and not have contradicted health conditions
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, eye protection, and lab coat as applicable
