Kelly is hiring for a Lab Tech -Technician, Innovation & Science for a 10-month contract role at Narrows, VA 24124 with our prestigious client.
Job Title: Lab tech - Technician, Innovation & Science
Primary Location: 3520 Virginia Avenue, Narrows, VA 24124
10-month contract - Onsite role
Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay rate: $21.40/hr.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in manufacturing, process laboratory environment, or hands-on research facility.
- Mechanical acumen and chemical handling experience preferred.
- Experience with a motorized pallet jack is preferred.
- Employee must be able to work independently with limited instruction.
- Must be able to lift up to 50-lbs and move heavy items with assistance occasionally.
- Computer skills and the effective use of Microsoft Word and Excel relating to data manipulation and report generation are required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support by operating lab pilot-scale mixers, pumps, tanks, and high speed mechanical processing equipment according to a provided trial plan or procedure.
- Perform physical and visual quality evaluations. Attention to detail is critical.
- Review of process controls and data for report out and further optimization.
- Effectively communicate data and trial learnings to coordinator for continuous improvement.
- Employee will be expected to use initiative and troubleshooting skills to help identify problems and implement corrective actions.
