Laboratory Technician

Position: Laboratory Technician
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of laboratory duties, supporting high standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
· Set up and take down assays following established protocols
· Process specimens with accuracy and timeliness
· Prepare and make slides for analysis
· Set drug plates and ensure proper experimental setups
· Perform Alamar Blue, MTT, ATP, and DISC assays
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date charts and laboratory records
· Make reagents and media as required for laboratory assays
Additional Responsibilities and Expectations
Lab Maintenance and Cleaning
· Monitor equipment temperatures
· Clean water baths, incubators, cytospins, and centrifuges
· Calibrate balances and pipettes
· QC autoclave
· Dispose of trash and biohazard materials appropriately
Cell Culture Support
· Demonstrate strong aseptic technique
· Exhibit excellent pipetting skills
· Prepare drug plates as needed
Work Schedule and Environment
· Tues - Sat 9:00 - 5:30 with some flex time. This is subject to change.
· Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, or evenings as required
· Fast-paced setting requiring multitasking and efficiency
· Emphasis on accuracy and independent problem solving
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related field
· Previous laboratory experience
· Familiarity with assay protocols and laboratory instrumentation
· Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
· Excellent organizational and communication skills
· Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
