We are seeking a confident, self‑driven labor attorney to lead and operate our Portland, Oregon office as Allied’s sole staff attorney in the state. About Allied Employers, Inc.
Allied Employers, Inc. is a respected management‑side employer association and labor relations consulting firm. We represent unionized employers across industries and handle the full spectrum of labor relations, including:
1. Collective bargaining and contract negotiations
2. Strategic labor relations advice and employer counseling
3. Grievance handling and arbitration advocacy
4. Representation before labor boards and administrative agencies
5. Taft-Hartley Trust Fund Work
The attorney in this role will step into an active and established caseload and serve as a trusted advisor to Allied’s member employers throughout Oregon.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate brings experience, confidence, and sound judgment, along with:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree
2. Significant trial, arbitration, and/or administrative hearing experience
3. Direct background in labor law and labor relations
4. Strong knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws
5. Ability to work independently and manage a full caseload
6. Highly organized, proactive, and self‑motivated work style
7. Strong written, oral, and persuasive communication skills
8. Excellent interpersonal skills and a consultative client approach
9. Analytical thinking and practical problem‑solving abilities
10. Comfort working independently with Word, Excel, and Outlook (no local administrative support)
