About the Role



This is a generous commission based design and sales position. Showcase your work and meet clients in a professional and fully loaded showroom, with access to samples and sales tools. Over 100 vendor accounts for finish materials! Cabinetry, countertops, tile, flooring, you name it! These are available to you through Armada’s established partnerships. Boost your knowledge and productivity with a team to support you, and access CRM and CAD programs to facilitate your workflow. We professionally photograph your projects for your portfolio and collaborate with you on social media to boost your visibility and brand.



Key Responsibilities



  • Maintain and grow an established book of business while actively developing new client relationships
  • Meet with leads and guide clients through the full design + sales process
  • Lead client communication, coordinating with vendors and internal team to ensure project success
  • Prepare and present design concepts, including 2D/3D drawings, renderings, and material selections
  • Create accurate project quotes and proposals, following company workflow and pricing standards
  • Manage procurement of materials and ensure all selections are properly ordered and tracked
  • Document all client communication, sales activity, and project updates in CRM
  • Schedule and manage client meetings, both in-showroom and on-site as needed
  • Maintain strong product knowledge across interior finishes and materials
  • Attend team meetings, industry events, and home shows


Qualifications



  • Proven experience in interior design, materials selection, or related field
  • Sales experience with the ability to close and manage client relationships
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
  • Proficiency with email and calendar management (Outlook or similar)
  • Working knowledge of CAD/design software (ProKitchen provided; alternative programs acceptable)
  • Ability to learn and consistently use CRM systems (training provided)
  • Understanding of procurement processes and project workflow
  • Reliable transportation for client meetings and events
  • Access to a laptop capable of running design software (minimum 1TB Storage, 3.4+Ghz processor, RAM 32gigs)


Expectations for Success in This Role



  • Consistent follow-up with leads and clients
  • Accurate and timely entry of all sales activity into CRM
  • Material quote and order accuracy
  • Clear communication with the Showroom Manager and team
  • Regular attendance at team meetings, showroom/office hours, and scheduled events
  • Professional management of client scheduling and showroom appointments




Compensation



This is a commission-based design and sales position. Successful team members are able to build a consistent pipeline through a combination of company-provided leads, showroom traffic, and their own network of industry professionals and referrals.


Commissions are based on sales volume and margin. Below are sample monthly earnings for material sales:

  • $60,000 sales at 25% margin = $3,900 commission
  • $60,000 sales at 35% margin = $6,900 commission
  • $100,000 sales at 25% margin = $6,500 commission
  • $100,000 sales at 35% margin = $11,500 commission


Design hours are split 50/50 between you and the company.
