Residential Architectural/Interior Designer
Location: Denver Metro Area, CO
Schedule: Full-time, onsite Monday through Friday
The Opportunity
A well-established residential design-build firm in the Denver metro area is seeking a Residential Remodel Architectural Designer to support all phases of remodeling design, from homeowner consultation and field measurements through material selections and construction-ready plans.
This is an in-office role and requires someone with current, hands-on residential kitchen or bath design experience.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex residential space challenges, creating highly buildable drawing sets, collaborating directly with homeowners, and managing multiple active projects with strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate on-site field measurements and develop base plans
- Create residential design concepts and remodeling layouts
- Prepare construction-ready drawing sets for production and build teams
- Use CAD software confidently to produce detailed, accurate plans
- Collaborate with homeowners on material selections and design details
- Ensure drawings align with residential building codes and permitting requirements
- Prepare documentation for internal production handoff
- Coordinate closely with internal team members to maintain consistency and project accuracy
Qualifications
- 5+ years of residential remodeling design experience
- Direct experience in a residential design-build environment required
- Proven ability to create construction-ready remodeling drawings
- Strong CAD experience required
- Experience with Chief Architect is a strong plus
- Experience with SketchUp and/or Revit is also welcome
- Familiarity with residential codes, permitting, and buildability requirements
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with homeowners
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be able to work full-time onsite in the Denver metro area
