Role Description


The basic function of kitchen designer is to plan, organize, monitor, manage and control the company’s processing of orders for complete kitchens. This includes but is not limited to:

Assist the “Sales Group” in their quest to complete the sale by assisting with scheduling, product specification, field verification and establishing consumer confidence by reinforcing the image of quality service.


Assist the Sales Group by drawing and pricing all jobs for which a “design retainer” has been collected. This should include, but not be limited to the following tasks:

1. Detailed floor plans and elevations.

2. Detailed product specification and pricing for cabinetry.

3. Detailed product specification and pricing for appliances and accessories.

4. Lighting and Electrical Specification (as requested).

5. Prepare paper work for all presentations, including quotes, retainers and contracts.

6.Reviewing orders for accuracy, completeness and plausibility.

  1. Place the complete orders with MODULNOVA Italy.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Kitchen Designer reports to the Project Manager


JOB REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete all areas outlined for this position in a satisfactory manner.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities necessary to meet the minimum job requirements of this position.

CAD proficient


EDUCATION

Required: High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred: College degree in Engineering or Architecture or Interior Design


EXPERIENCE

Required: 5 or more years of experience working with European kitchen cabinetry

Preferred: Strong technical background in design, production or management.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Ability to guide, direct, and coordinate multiple jobs at any given time.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret orders and blue prints.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, architects, interior designers, contractors and any other members of the design community.

Excellent knowledge of the Company’s industry, products and trends impacting its business.

Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.
