Junior Litigation Attorney


Location: Pasadena, CA

Salary: $130,000 to $160,000 per year, along with comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.

A boutique Pasadena law firm is seeking a Junior Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. The firm handles a sophisticated mix of matters including estate planning, trusts, probate, real estate, corporate law, and complex civil litigation defense. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent bar passer or junior attorney to gain hands-on experience across both transactional and litigation matters in a highly collaborative environment. This role offers strong mentorship, direct client exposure, and meaningful responsibility from day one. The firm is open to candidates who have recently passed the California Bar or have up to 2 years of experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and defend depositions, including witness preparation and post-deposition analysis
  • Draft and serve deposition notices, subpoenas, and related discovery documents
  • Perform legal research and analysis to support case strategy and development
  • Assist with matters related to estate planning, trusts, probate, and real estate transactions
  • Support corporate and tax-related matters, including tax planning and structuring considerations
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to assess case strengths, strategy, and potential outcomes
  • Prepare case files, exhibits, and summaries for hearings and trial preparation
  • Communicate with opposing counsel regarding scheduling, discovery disputes, and case updates
  • Assist in drafting motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents


Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership in the California State Bar (or newly admitted)
  • Open to candidates who recently passed the Bar or have up to 2 years of experience
  • Interest in estate planning, trusts, probate, real estate, corporate law, and tax-related matters, or complex civil litigation defense
  • Familiarity with civil procedure and litigation processes preferred
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
