Role Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Attorney to work directly with a private client who operates across these multiple industries. This is a unique entry-level opportunity that goes beyond a traditional law firm associate role. You will have direct access to a sophisticated client with diverse legal needs, giving you broad exposure and accelerated professional development from day one. In this role, you will work closely with other company members to support a private client across a wide range of legal matters and industries. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and analyzing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, as well as conducting legal research and preparing memoranda, summaries, and recommendations. You will assist with transactional work, compliance matters, negotiations, and dispute resolution as needs arise. Regular in-person meetings with the client in the Louisville, KY area are an important part of this role, so strong professional relationship management is essential. You can expect to manage multiple matters simultaneously, adapting quickly across different practice areas making versatility and a proactive mindset key to your success here.


Qualifications

Active bar admission in any U.S. state

0–3 years of legal experience; newly licensed attorneys are encouraged to apply

Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

Demonstrated ability to handle a broad and evolving caseload

Professional, client-forward communication style

Self-starter who thrives in a non-traditional, entrepreneurial environment

Located in the greater Louisville area, or willing to travel to Louisville routinely for face-to-face client meetings


Compensation

This is an entry-level position designed to provide significant hands-on experience and accelerated professional growth. Compensation is structured to reward both foundational contribution and performance:

  • Base Salary: $60,000 annually, paid in accordance with standard payroll practices and subject to applicable withholdings.
  • Performance-Based Incentives: In addition to base salary, the Junior Attorney will be eligible for incentive compensation tied to individual performance, productivity, and contribution across matters. This may include bonuses related to successful outcomes, efficiency in handling matters, and overall value delivered to the client.
  • Growth Opportunity: Given the direct exposure to a sophisticated private client and a broad range of legal work, this role is structured for rapid advancement. Compensation will be reviewed periodically, with the expectation that high performers can earn meaningful increases and expanded incentive participation over time.
