Dynamic Bay Area startup is seeking a Senior IT & Infrastructure Engineer who will be the engineer keeping the engineering organization running, owning the compute infrastructure, CI/CD systems, monitoring, lab equipment, and internal IT services that engineering depends on every day. This person will be hands-on across Linux administration, build pipelines, virtualization, AWS, lab operations, and tier-1 support, and partner closely with a DevOps counterpart in an overseas office on shared infrastructure standards. This is a broad, hands-on role for someone energized by being the person engineers come to when things need to work.

Infrastructure & Operations
- Manage compute infrastructure, including on-site lab equipment (Linux hosts, Jenkins servers, lab gear) and cloud resources.
- Administer Linux hosts across the engineering environment, including SaltStack based configuration management and NFS.
- Create and operate virtualized resources including Docker containers and KVM hosts.
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery systems for managed Linux hosts.
- Support core engineering SaaS tools (1Passwrod, GitHub, GitLab, Cursor, etc).
- Provide operational support for robotics setup, including integration or robotic testing and test results into engineering workflows.
CI/CD & Build Systems
- Design, build, and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins, targeting firmware and system image artifacts.
- Enforce code quality through integrated linting, static analysis, and test execution at pipeline quality gates.
- Extend build automation to support hardware-in-the-loop testing, bringing physical device testing into eh CI process.
Monitoring & Observability
- Own the organization’s Grafana-based observability stack end-to-end, including metrics ingestion, dashboards, data retention,, and alert routing.
- Develop and maintain alerting coverage for infrastructure health scenarios such as power source changes, UPS-triggered shutdowns, storage capacity thresholds, and hardware faults.
Cloud Operations
