Description

The Inventory Control Administrator for the Maintenance Department is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of spare parts, tools, lubricants, and equipment inventory. This role ensures the maintenance team has the materials needed to minimize downtime and support smooth, continuous operation of aluminum extrusion machinery and support systems.


Key Responsibilities:


Track and manage inventory levels for maintenance-related materials including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components

Issue parts and tools to maintenance technicians and record usage accurately

Receive, inspect, and log incoming maintenance supplies and parts

Monitor reorder points and assist with placing purchase requests to ensure critical stock levels are maintained

Organize and label parts and tools in the maintenance storeroom for quick, efficient access

Perform routine cycle counts and full inventory audits to maintain accuracy and compliance

Coordinate with maintenance supervisors/planner to forecast parts usage for planned maintenance or shutdowns

Maintain digital and physical inventory records in MVP system

Support vendor returns

Assist with purchase orders, receiving items and approving invoices, when needed

Requirements

Qualifications:


2+ years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment preferred

Knowledge of industrial parts, tools, and maintenance terminology (especially related to aluminum extrusion)

Familiarity with ERP or CMMS systems used for maintenance inventory

Proficient with Microsoft Excel and data entry

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to communicate clearly with technicians, vendors, and supervisors

Physical Requirements:


Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally

Frequent standing, bending, and walking within a plant and storeroom environment

Comfortable working around industrial equipment and machinery
