The Role

The Inside Sales Representative reports to the Sales Manager/Director and is responsible for driving revenue growth across a portfolio of new and existing clients within Federal, State, Local, and Commercial sectors. This role focuses on delivering enterprise IT solutions to organizations of varying size and complexity by engaging key decision-makers, identifying business needs, and delivering measurable value.

 

As a key member of the sales team, you will help manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation through qualification, solution development, closing, retention, and account growth. You’ll work closely with clients to assess needs, respond to quote requests, and deliver timely, accurate proposals. You’ll partner closely with a dedicated Outside Sales Representative to execute account strategies, strengthen client relationships, and deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience.


What You'll Do

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and outreach
  • Qualify and convert inbound and outbound leads into active opportunities
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through close, renewal, and expansion
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts, driving retention and upsell opportunities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring clients feel supported and valued at every stage of the relationship
  • Partner with internal technical and operations teams to match client needs with the right solutions
  • Collaborate closely with a dedicated Outside Sales Representative to support joint account strategies and drive team success
  • Track all activity, pipeline, and communications accurately in CRM

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of working in technology and the IT distribution channel, inside sales experience, preferably in technology, IT services, or a related field
  • Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, comfortable from cold outreach to final close
  • Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as excel, outlook, and teams for reporting, tracking, and data management
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, but a proven track record speaks louder than a diploma

Compensation

This role starts at a base salary of $60,000 annually. Following an initial onboarding period of approximately six months, this role may become eligible for performance-based commission in addition to base salary.
