Robert Half Technology is partnering with a well-established organization seeking a Manager, IT Network Engineering to lead enterprise network operations, manage a small team of network engineers, and oversee key infrastructure projects across a multi-site campus environment. This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on network leader who enjoys both people management and high-level technical oversight. The Manager, IT Network Engineering will be responsible for leading the network engineering team, maintaining network reliability, managing infrastructure projects, and ensuring the organization’s network environment is secure, scalable, and well-documented. This person will serve as a key technical leader while also mentoring engineers, coordinating vendors, and partnering with internal stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network engineers, including senior and junior-level staff.

• Oversee day-to-day network operations, escalations, and infrastructure support.

• Manage large-scale network projects, upgrades, refreshes, and campus-wide initiatives.

• Support and maintain Cisco routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, VPN, and VoIP systems.

• Provide technical oversight across routing, switching, wireless, telecom, and network security.

• Ensure strong documentation, network diagrams, standards, and operational procedures are maintained.

• Partner with vendors, internal IT leadership, and business stakeholders to drive successful project delivery.

• Monitor network performance using tools such as SolarWinds or similar network monitoring platforms.

• Help develop network strategy, roadmap planning, process improvements, and best practices.

• Ensure network stability, uptime, security, and scalability across enterprise and campus environments.


Qualifications:

• 5+ years of people management or team leadership experience within network engineering or infrastructure.

• Strong background managing enterprise or campus network environments supporting 1,000+ users.

• Hands-on technical knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, VPN, and VoIP.

• Experience with Cisco Call Manager, Unity, Presence, or related unified communications tools preferred.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VPN, wireless, and firewall concepts.

• Experience with SolarWinds or other network monitoring/NMS tools.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, vendors, and technical priorities.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with technical teams, leadership, and non-technical stakeholders.

• CCNP, CCIE, or similar Cisco/network certifications preferred.

• Prior experience in higher education, campus, healthcare, government, or large enterprise environments is a plus.


Compensation:

• Salary Range: $135,000–$150,000
