TO QUALIFY: You must have at least five years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, construction or industrial settings where heavy equipment is used. Electrical Engineering degree a plus.
- We have been retained by a US Building Materials Manufacturer to find a supervisor at their major cement manufacturing facility near Albany.
- This position is open due to a promotion.
- This is a role supervising a crew of eight industrial electricians who are responsible for keeping all of the equipment (from manufacturing machines through critical on-site vehicles) for three closely located facilities.
- It is an amazing facility in terms of what and how they produce it - a plant, a quarry and a river barge site.
- The team is comprised of long-term employees that are certified expert electricians. With that expertise on the ground, my client can teach you the electrical side.
- What they truly need is a hands-on supervisor who can ensure they always have the parts they need, the work orders in hand and the safety briefings of the day.
- The incumbent ran this program extremely well and has it ready made for someone like you to step in and continue it.
- Promotions are common with this organization due to how fast they have been growing. They also have a solid program that grooms and teaches their first line supervisors for second line management roles.
- Turnover is very low; most join and never leave.
- This is a Monday through Friday schedule on day shift - 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
