We have immediate full time opening for a Maintenance Supervisor. This is a hands-on position with the primary focus on repair, preventative maintenance and installation of the manufacturing machinery and equipment.

Summary:
The Printed Circuit Board Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing equipment, systems and facilities to ensure efficiency and production goals are met. Uses the JTS system to plan, document, and close maintenance work, and partners closely with Production, Engineering, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) to prioritize urgent and safety related repairs and preventive maintenance.
The maintenance supervisor reports to the VP of Operations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Team and work management:
- Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance technicians and other staff.
- Schedule and assign daily and weekly maintenance tasks based on priority, skill, and workload.
- Monitor team performance and ensure work is completed on time and to standard.
- Document maintenance activities in JTS (our CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Review work orders entered in the JTS system by the Maintenance Technicians that have identified safety, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical issues.
- Respond quickly to equipment failures and work with production staff to minimize downtime.
- Assist with facility repairs including plumbing, basic carpentry, and minor construction as needed
Technical oversight and troubleshooting:
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment including PCB-related tools such as CNC drills, routers, plating tanks, ovens, and vacuum systems.
- Maintain DI water systems, air compressors, HVAC, lighting, and other facility infrastructure.
- Diagnose and correct difficult problems to minimize production interruptions.
- Direct the installation and modification of equipment and building systems.
- Perform planned and preventative maintenance and urgent repairs on complex machinery, production equipment, and facilities.
- If repairs must be completed urgently and OEM / correct parts are not available, a safe temporary solution may be implemented with approval from the Maintenance Supervisor or appropriate on-site manager, provided it will not cause damage to the equipment or create a safety risk.
- Order the correct part(s) and document in JTS that a temporary repair is in place, then coordinate with Production to schedule downtime to complete the permanent repair using the correct parts.
Safety and compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
- Conduct safety inspections and tours.
- Ensure all maintenance personnel adhere to safety precautions
- Work in compliance with Oregon OSHA standards, company safety procedures, and EHS requirements.
- Follow company procedures for chemical handling, spill response, and waste disposal, and coordinate with EHS for any unusual or significant issues.
Administration and reporting:
- Manage maintenance budgets and monitor inventory of parts and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, costs, and equipment history.
- Create reports, including major breakdown reports and root cause analyses.
- Generate and distribute basic JTS maintenance reports (e.g., open work orders, PM status) and printed work lists as requested by management to support maintenance meetings and daily planning.
Collaboration and planning:
- Collaborate with other departments like production, engineering, and quality control to resolve issues.
- Plan and execute site preparations for new equipment installations.
- Work with management to develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and schedules.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas and perform general housekeeping in maintenance zones.
- Maintenance personnel may be requested to use special skills, certifications, and/or licenses to facilitate equipment or facility repairs.
Maintenance Purchasing and Inventory Management:
- Research and facilitate the purchase of parts to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner.
- A Purchase Requisition may be submitted to the purchasing department or parts may be purchased at the direction of management.
- Establish and maintain a simple stocking system (min/max or Kanban) for commonly used maintenance supplies (e.g., Teflon tape, electrical tape, fuses, fasteners) and notify Purchasing when restock levels are reached.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors.
Education and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED or 5 - 10 years of experience in industrial or facilities maintenance; experience in PCB manufacturing is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years in a direct leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance equipment, repair techniques, and equipment for PCB manufacturing is crucial.

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems (single and three-phase), motors, and controls.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, CMMS software).
- Experience in Lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, time management, and troubleshooting skills are essential.
- Ability to foster a cohesive team environment, while ensuring individual team members have the ability work independently.
Preferred Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or a related field is preferred.
- Technical certification or trade school training.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, climbing, and working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Use of ladders, scaffolding, and lifts to access equipment.
- Manual dexterity to operate tools and handle small parts.
- The ability to wear PPE includes safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and occasionally a respirator.
- Work in environments with varying temperatures, loud noise, and exposure to chemicals (with proper safety measures).
- Must be able to respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
Pay Range: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
