Job Purpose

To define the qualifications and duties for a Maintenance Electrician.


Duties and Responsibilities

•Responsible for fabricating, installing, inspecting, testing, operating, repairing and maintaining all types of electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment in a safe and orderly manner

•Assist other maintenance shift workers throughout the plant in repair efforts to minimize call-ins of day shift personnel

•Assist assigned crew with execution of planned activities such as PM's, lubes, or standing work orders assigned by the maintenance supervisor

•Prioritize work requests as requested in the event of multiple orders

•Assess non-routine breakdown situations and recommend necessary resources when help is required

•Provide accurate feedback to the appropriate maintenance personnel regarding turnover information on breakdowns and trouble calls

•Practice established maintenance process techniques

o Accurate and detailed information on work orders

o Applying parts removal tags on rebuild items

o Return to stock warehouse issues that are not needed,

o Proper coding of emergency work orders

o Stock issues are charged to work orders



Qualifications

•Five (5) years’ industrial electrical maintenance experience.

•Formal Apprenticeship or equivalent trades training is desirable.

•Vocational or high school graduate or equivalent.

Physical Demands

•No restrictions to standing, walking, bending, pushing or pulling

•Able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds

•Must successfully pass a rigorous medical examination.

•Ability to climb to extensive heights and enter confined spaces

•Able to withstand extreme weather conditions – heat, cold, rain.

•Must be able to speak clearly and utilize a computer keyboard.

•Follow guidance from ISO coordinators regarding compliance with ISO registrations.
