Immigration Attorney

Overview

Pardo Law Firm, PLLC is a bilingual immigration law firm in Charlotte, NC, dedicated to guiding individuals and families through family-based and employment-based immigration matters nationwide. We are looking for a passionate, client-focused Immigration Attorney to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of immigration law experience, bilingual fluency in Spanish and English, and a commitment to quality legal work. You will manage your own caseload, provide strategic counsel, and collaborate with a supportive team in a firm that genuinely values work-life balance and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active immigration caseload from intake through resolution.
• Prepare, review, and file petitions, applications, and supporting documents with USCIS, EOIR, NVC, the National Benefit Center, and other relevant agencies.
• Advise clients on family-based and employment-based immigration processes, including adjustment of status, consular processing, removal defense, naturalization, U-visas, waivers, and related matters.
• Conduct client consultations, intake evaluations, and case strategy meetings.
• Draft legal briefs, motions, appeals, and correspondence, including Motions to Reopen, Motions to Reconsider, and responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs).
• Appear before USCIS, EOIR, and immigration courts as needed, including occasional travel to represent clients in surrounding areas such as Greenville, SC.
• Collaborate with paralegals and administrative staff to ensure accurate and timely case processing.
• Meet all filing deadlines and maintain compliance with ethical obligations.
• Maintain accurate and complete case records, track deadlines, and ensure timely submission of all required documentation within the firm’s case management system.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. state; North Carolina bar admission or eligibility for NC licensure preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in immigration law.
• Demonstrated experience handling family-based and/or employment-based immigration matters before USCIS, EOIR, and ICE.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (verbal and written) required.
• Experience completing USCIS and EOIR immigration forms, including but not limited to: I-130, I-131, I-140, I-485, I-601, I-751, I-765, I-821, I-821D, I-864, I-912, I-918, N-400, and related applications.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficient in organizing and managing workflows using Outlook Calendar and Tasks.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters independently while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff and clients.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; occasional travel required.
