Human Resources Manager

Location: Schaumburg, IL (On-site)

Compensation: $105,000 – $125,000 base + bonus

Industry: Manufacturing / Distribution

About the Role

We’re partnering with a growing manufacturing organization looking to bring on a Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations for a multi-site workforce. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving HR strategy while staying close to day-to-day execution across employee relations, compliance, and talent initiatives.

You’ll act as the primary HR contact for leadership and play a key role in building processes, supporting managers, and improving the overall employee experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Serve as the main HR partner to site leadership, providing guidance on employee relations, workforce planning, and performance management
  • Lead day-to-day HR operations including employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution
  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting efforts across hourly and salaried roles
  • Manage onboarding, training, and employee development programs
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, including alignment with market trends
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies
  • Drive performance management processes, including reviews, coaching, and corrective action
  • Analyze HR data (turnover, engagement, performance) to inform business decisions
  • Maintain HRIS systems and ensure accuracy of employee records and reporting
  • Partner with leadership to improve culture, retention, and engagement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8+ years of progressive HR experience, including prior HR leadership or standalone site support
  • Strong employee relations background (this is not just a recruiting role)
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or other blue-collar environments preferred
  • Working knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices
  • Experience with HRIS systems and reporting tools
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; HR certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP) are a plus

Why This Role

  • High visibility—direct interaction with leadership
  • Opportunity to build and improve HR processes (not just maintain them)
  • Stable company with strong growth trajectory
  • Mix of strategic input and hands-on execution
