To support its continued growth and innovation agenda, the company is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead the Human Resources function for its U.S. operations, partnering closely with R&D, Engineering, Product Development, and Commercial teams.
Position Summary
The HR Director will serve as the senior HR leader for the U.S. organization, providing strategic and operational HR leadership to support business growth, organizational effectiveness, talent development, and employee engagement. Based in San Jose, this role will partner directly with executive leaders across engineering and commercial functions while ensuring alignment with global HR strategies and corporate objectives.
The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to business leaders, capable of operating effectively in a fast-paced, innovation-driven semiconductor environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Business Partnership
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute people strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and functional leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, and talent management.
- Support the growth and scalability of the U.S. organization while maintaining a high-performance culture.
- Drive organizational transformation initiatives and change management programs as required.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Collaborate with global and local talent acquisition teams to attract top engineering, technical, and commercial talent.
- Develop workforce planning strategies to support rapid business growth and critical skill requirements.
- Enhance employer branding initiatives within the highly competitive semiconductor and technology talent market.
- Ensure effective succession planning and talent pipeline development.
Leadership Development & Talent Management
- Lead performance management, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
- Coach managers and executives on leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and talent retention.
- Identify and develop high-potential talent across the organization.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.
Employee Relations & Organizational Culture
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, performance issues, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Promote an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing workplace culture.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and action planning based on employee feedback.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Compensation, Benefits & Rewards
- Partner with global compensation teams on salary structures, incentive programs, equity plans, and market competitiveness.
- Support annual compensation review processes and talent retention strategies.
- Provide insights on compensation trends within the semiconductor and technology sectors.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with U.S. employment laws and company policies.
- Oversee HR policies, procedures, and governance practices.
- Support audits, reporting requirements, and HR analytics initiatives.
- Drive HR process improvements and digital HR transformation projects.
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 12+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant HR Business Partner and leadership responsibilities.
- Strong experience supporting engineering, R&D, product development, and commercial organizations.
- Prior experience within semiconductor, IC design, electronics, technology, software, or related innovation-driven industries is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success partnering with executive leadership teams in global, matrixed organizations.
- Experience supporting publicly traded companies is strongly preferred.
