Healthcare IT Project Manager

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Healthcare IT Project Manager for a hybrid opportunity in Columbia, SC. Candidate will lead multiple high-priority healthcare technology initiatives within a large enterprise environment, partnering closely with executive leadership, internal stakeholders, and external vendors. This role requires strong project management expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage complex IT projects in a fast-paced setting.


Required Qualifications for the Healthcare IT Project Manager:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing IT projects
  • Strong background working in healthcare insurance technology or healthcare IT environments
  • Experience creating project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Strong risk management and issue resolution experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Experience developing project documentation, reports, and status updates
  • Candidates must reside in South Carolina or be willing to relocate prior to the start date at their own expense


Preferred Skills/Experience of the Healthcare IT Project Manager:

  • Experience with Medicaid systems or healthcare claims platforms
  • PMP, PMI, or similar project management certification
  • Experience using SharePoint, MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination experience


Responsibilities of the Healthcare IT Project Manager:

  • Manage multiple IT projects through all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, documentation, and status reporting
  • Gather business and technical requirements from stakeholders
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate with internal teams, leadership, and third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and meet quality expectations


Work Location: Columbia, SC – ONSITE 4 days/week.
