GIS Analyst

Join our team and play a key role in shaping how the City uses data to make smarter decisions. As a GIS professional, you’ll lead and support innovative, citywide projects that turn geographic data into powerful tools for planning, operations, and public service. Working closely with departments, vendors, and community stakeholders, you’ll develop and maintain cutting-edge GIS applications, provide expert guidance and training, and help integrate GIS across a wide range of City services.

Starting Salary Range: The starting salary is between the minimum and midpoint of the range ($53,040 annually - $64,979 annually).
Candidates will start at the minimum of the range unless their skills, experience, education or other factors exceed the qualifications for the position.

Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. A typical way to qualify is an Associate’s degree in Cartography, Computer Science, Engineering or related field and two (2) or more years of progressively responsible related experience.

1. Licensure or Certification Requirements

Current and valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driver’s abstract in order to meet criteria for insurability established by the City of Gahanna.
