Job Description

This position is located at the West Facility in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Candidates will rotate through four key areas: sanitation/pack-off, packing, palletizing, or box making. Each area focuses on different aspects of production and cleanliness within a GMP food production environment.

Responsibilities

• In the Sanitation/Pack-Off area, dispose of extra materials not in use, break down and dispose of incoming packages and labels, separate trash into categories such as trash, cardboard, and plastic, and spray machines and containers with disinfectant.
• As a Packer, assist with preparing machine startups and disassembly for sanitation, place bags of finished goods into boxes, visually inspect finished goods for defects, and complete necessary paperwork.
• In the Palletizer role, visually inspect cases to ensure proper sealing and labeling, operate pallet jack to move finished pallets, assemble and disassemble machinery for sanitation, document all findings, and palletize finished boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
• As a Box Maker, maintain boxes and labels for the production lines, ensure labeling matches spec sheets and boxes are clear of damage, document movement of finished and raw materials, and palletize finished boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs continuously throughout a 10-hour shift.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• A minimum of 1 year of work history.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in production, general production, packaging, and inspection.

Why Work Here?

Employees become part of the union and eligible for benefits starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment. After 6 months, employees are eligible to advance to an operator position with a $1 raise. After 1 year, there is potential to move up to a level 2 or 3 position. All employees receive a 2.5% annual increase on January 1st. Additionally, any hours worked over 8 per shift are compensated as overtime, offering the potential to earn up to $1,200 a week before taxes.

Work Environment

This role involves working the 2nd shift from 3:45 pm to 1 am, Monday-Friday, with most Saturdays included. Employees work 50+ hours a week but are limited to 60 hours weekly. The GMP Food Production Environment requires wearing protective gear such as an overcoat, gloves, hardhat, ear plugs, safety glasses, and knee-high non-slip rubber boots. The production floor is refrigerated, maintaining temperatures between 30-40 degrees.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Pleasant Prairie,WI.
