Company Description
Vincent William Wine is an award-winning winery, inn, and restaurant located on the shores of Lake Erie in Ohio wine country. We are a family-owned property with a growing hospitality program that includes dining, events, overnight stays, and a guest experience built around warmth, detail, and a strong sense of place.
We are seeking a General Manager to help lead the next stage of growth across the property. This role is ideal for someone with a strong hospitality background who understands how to balance service, operations, team leadership, and business growth in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
We are looking for a hospitality-first leader who knows how to build strong teams, create structure, and keep a property moving at a high level day to day. The right candidate may come from restaurants, country clubs, high-end hotels, or an ownership or chef-partner background, but what matters most is a deep understanding of service, people, and operations.
This person will oversee daily operations, support hiring and team development, build systems that help the business run more effectively, and work closely with ownership to continue growing the property. They should be someone who genuinely enjoys training others, improving performance, and helping people succeed.
Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day operations across the property
• Lead with a hospitality-first mindset and strong floor presence
• Build, improve, and maintain systems for service, staffing, and operations
• Support hiring, onboarding, and team development
• Train managers and staff with consistency and accountability
• Help create a strong pipeline for hiring and long-term team growth
• Manage a fast-paced environment while maintaining service standards
• Work closely with ownership to support business growth and operational goals
• Help develop people, strengthen culture, and raise overall performance
What We’re Looking For
• Leadership experience in restaurants, country clubs, luxury or high-end hotels, or other hospitality-driven environments
• Restaurant owner, chef-partner, or entrepreneurial operating experience is also highly valued
• A hospitality-first approach and strong instincts for guest experience
• Proven ability to train, coach, and develop teams
• Experience building systems and improving operations
• Comfort leading in a fast-moving, hands-on environment
• Strong hiring instincts and commitment to building great teams
• A growth mindset and genuine interest in learning, improving, and helping the business evolve
