Overview

A rapidly growing industrial products organization is seeking a General Manager to lead one of its key business units. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, revenue growth, and overall profitability across a distribution and manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong business acumen, capable of aligning strategy with execution while building and developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Leadership & Strategy Develop and execute a strategic plan to drive revenue growth and improve profitability
  • Own full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost optimization
  • Operations ManagementOversee daily operations across distribution, warehouse, and office functions
  • Ensure efficient inventory management, production coordination, and shipping activities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and operational workflows
  • Sales & Market GrowthPartner with sales leadership to develop and implement regional and national growth strategies
  • Support marketing initiatives, pricing strategies, and product positioning
  • Monitor performance of sales channels and adjust strategy to meet targets
  • Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop cross-functional teams including operations, sales, and administrative staff
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee development
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with corporate functions including finance, HR, procurement, and marketing
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and product requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record of managing P&L and driving business growth
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Experience overseeing operations, sales, and supply chain functions simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems
