Job Description
The Flexographic Printing Press Operator sets up, operates, and troubleshoots a flexographic printing press, ensuring high-quality output and efficient production. This role independently manages press setup, including ink matching, plate mounting, and tuning of rollers, plates, and dies, often running up to four colors. The operator accurately documents materials and time used, supports continuous improvement, and contributes to a safe, clean, and collaborative production environment.

This role is based in a clean, well-maintained, and smaller-scale printing facility that emphasizes a friendly and respectful atmosphere. The environment is roll-fed and flexographic-focused, with modern printing and converting equipment and a strong emphasis on lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Employees receive company-branded items such as water bottles and t-shirts, and are encouraged to share ideas to improve processes; creative suggestions can be recognized through drawings and rewards such as flat screen TVs. The typical schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., offering a four-day workweek, with initial training potentially taking place on first shift for 1–2 months. The workplace encourages collaboration, open communication, and a sense of ownership in the production process.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
