Dinse P.C., one of Vermont’s premier law firms, is seeking a Firm Administrator to serve as the operational and administrative leader of the firm—partnering closely with the Managing Partner and leadership team to drive performance, alignment, and long-term success.

You will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to firm leadership
  • Drive operational excellence and strategic execution
  • Shape the firm’s people, financial, and business practices
  • Ensure Dinse continues to operate at the highest level in a competitive legal market


What You’ll Own

People and Culture Leadership (Core Focus)

  • Oversee HR strategy, including talent acquisition, performance management, and organizational design
  • Guide benefits, compensation administration, and employee relations
  • Partner with leadership to build a strong, engaged, and high-performing culture
  • Serve as the firm’s senior HR leader, setting direction for all people-related strategies and initiatives
  • Develop and implement HR strategies across talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, payroll, bonuses, and profit-sharing programs in partnership with leadership
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and best practices
  • Lead and evolve HR policies, processes, and infrastructure to support a growing, high-performing firm
  • Partner with firm leadership to drive employee engagement, culture, and organizational effectiveness
  • Support and guide managers on employee relations, performance issues, and leadership development
  • Advance DEI and people-focused initiatives that strengthen the firm’s culture and long-term success


Firm Operations & Business Management

  • Lead day-to-day operations across the firm, ensuring efficiency and alignment
  • Develop and implement policies that enhance performance and scalability
  • Oversee risk management, compliance, and firm-wide operational health


Financial Leadership

  • Partner with the Controller and Managing Partner on budgeting and financial planning
  • Monitor key financial metrics including billing, collections, and profitability
  • Present financial insights and recommendations to the partnership


Technology & Infrastructure

  • Ensure systems, data security, and tools support firm productivity
  • Identify and implement technology improvements


Facilities & Workplace Experience

  • Oversee office operations, safety, and space planning
  • Help create an environment where people enjoy coming to work

  • Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic initiatives and long-term planning
  • Support Management Committee and partner meetings
  • Build strong relationships across practice groups and leadership teams

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of leadership experience in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong financial acumen (budgeting, reporting, business metrics)
  • Proven ability to lead operations and HR at a strategic level
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to balance big-picture strategy with hands-on execution
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with sound judgment
