Field Operations Manager

Swoon
Grapevine, TX

Are you a field leader who knows how to raise the bar on installation quality, earn the respect of a skilled trades crew, and build the kind of structure that helps a fast-growing company scale without losing its standards?

A growing residential HVAC and plumbing company serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is looking for a Field Operations Manager to own quality, consistency, and professionalism across their install teams. The team needs someone who can be the connective tissue between leadership and the field. This is not a desk role. You'll be on job sites, riding along, spotting what's slipping before it becomes a complaint.

This role is fully on-site, with the majority of time spent in the field across the north DFW service area.

What your day will look like:

  • Conduct active job site visits and random ride-alongs to evaluate workmanship, site cleanliness, and professionalism standards
  • Identify gaps in install quality and develop the processes, checklists, and coaching frameworks to close them
  • Lead pregame conversations with customers before work begins and make sure mid-job and completion updates are standard practice
  • Partner with the plumbing and HVAC install leads to drive accountability and a culture of pride in the work
  • Track and report on KPIs including callback rates, warranty claims, customer reviews, and install quality scores

Why we love this role:

  • A company with real momentum — strong service reputation and scaling fast into a busy season
  • Direct access to leadership and a genuine mandate to build the structure the install side needs
  • Room to grow as the company grows — this role was built because they're serious about doing it right
  • A tight-knit team that will welcome the structure and coaching you bring

What you'll need:

  • Field leadership experience in residential HVAC, plumbing, or a comparable skilled trade — someone who's been in the work and knows what good looks like
  • A track record of improving install quality, documentation habits, or technician professionalism
  • The kind of presence that earns respect without demanding it; a motivator, not a drill sergeant
  • Comfort managing and developing crews where Spanish is commonly spoken is a meaningful advantage
  • Experience with job documentation platforms, field software, or quality control processes in a trades environment

Schedule: Monday–Friday with early morning standups at 7:30am; field hours vary with job completion. Primarily field-based (70%), with regular in-office days for meetings and standups. Mileage reimbursed.
