Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Family Law Attorney role based in our new Brandon office located at 160 E Bloomingdale Ave, Brandon, FL 33511. The attorney will manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and property distribution. Daily responsibilities include meeting with clients, developing case strategy, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, leading paralegals, and preparing for hearings and trials. The role involves taking and defending depositions, negotiating settlements, and appearing in court for hearings, mediations, and other proceedings. The attorney will also conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, maintain organized case files, and collaborate with support staff to ensure timely, high-quality client service.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Law and Family Law, with experience handling divorce, custody, and related domestic relations matters.
  • Ability to identify, research, and analyze complex Legal Issues affecting family law cases.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and arguing Motions in family law and related civil proceedings.
  • Experience preparing for, taking, and defending Depositions in litigated matters.
  • Active license to practice law in Florida and in good standing with The Florida Bar.
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including clear, client-friendly communication.
  • Strong negotiation, mediation, and case management skills, with attention to deadlines and details.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an office environment while managing responsibilities independently.
  • Prior experience in a family law or litigation-focused practice is highly preferred.
