The Opportunity
ArcMorris is seeking a mission-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization into its next chapter of growth, sustainability, and impact.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic, operational, financial, and cultural leadership for a complex and highly respected human services organization. The next CEO will build upon ArcMorris's strong foundation while strengthening organizational culture, enhancing fundraising efforts, and ensuring continued excellence in services for individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic & Organizational Leadership
- Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and execute the organization's strategic vision.
- Lead a large and diverse organization focused on delivering high-quality, person-centered services.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Financial & Operational Oversight
- Ensure the long-term financial health and sustainability of the organization.
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, compliance, and operational performance.
- Develop meaningful metrics and reporting tools to keep the Board informed and engaged.
Fundraising & External Relations
- Serve as a passionate ambassador for ArcMorris and its mission.
- Partner with the ArcMorris Foundation and community stakeholders to expand philanthropic support.
- Pursue grants, partnerships, and new funding opportunities to diversify revenue streams.
- Build strong relationships with government agencies, donors, community organizations, and advocacy groups.

- Create a positive and inclusive workplace culture where employees feel valued, supported, and heard.
- Develop and retain strong leaders throughout the organization.
- Maintain a visible presence with staff, residents, families, and community partners.
Ideal Candidate
- The successful candidate will bring:
- Senior leadership experience within health and human services, nonprofit organizations, healthcare, behavioral health, disability services, or related fields.
- Strong operational and financial management experience.
- Knowledge of Medicaid-funded services and government reimbursement structures, preferably in New Jersey.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant development, and external relationship building.
- A collaborative leadership style with strong emotional intelligence and communication skills.
- Experience leading large teams and complex organizations.
- A genuine commitment to improving the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
- While experience in IDD services is beneficial, ArcMorris welcomes candidates from broader human services sectors who bring strong leadership, fundraising expertise, and a passion for the mission.
