Development Executive Assistant

Overview
A nationally recognized nonprofit organization focused on leadership development and civic engagement is seeking a Development Executive Assistant to support a senior fundraising leader within its development team.
This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations, donor engagement initiatives, research, and administrative coordination. The position plays a key role in helping optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of senior leadership within the fundraising organization.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support
- Manage the Senior Development Leader’s calendar, scheduling, and travel logistics.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, calls, and event participation.
- Assist with expense tracking, reporting, and administrative documentation.
- Ensure schedules and commitments are organized and executed efficiently.
Donor Engagement & Research
- Support donor relationship management and fundraising initiatives.
- Conduct research to identify prospective high-net-worth donors and strategic funding opportunities.
- Prepare briefing materials and donor communication documents for meetings and outreach.
- Assist with preparation of proposals, donor materials, and engagement collateral.
Development Operations
- Maintain accurate donor records and account information within the CRM platform.
- Coordinate with internal teams to produce donor reports, communications, and event materials.
- Assist with execution of fundraising events and donor engagement initiatives.
- Support donor communications including outreach emails and follow-up coordination.
Event & Travel Support
- Travel to fundraising events and organizational programs as needed.
- Assist with preparation and coordination of donor events and meetings.
- Support logistics and materials preparation for events and donor engagements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage complex schedules and competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with close attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) or similar productivity tools.
- Ability to thrive in a high-performance, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Virtuous, or similar).
- Background supporting donor relations, fundraising operations, or development teams.
- Prior experience supporting senior leadership or executive-level professionals.
- Experience with research, donor prospecting, or fundraising coordination.
