Level Recruiting is looking for a seasoned construction estimator with experience working on residential construction projects. Level Construction is a boutique placement agency that works with some of the premier luxury builders in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. This role is an excellent fit for someone with the experience to inform a solid grasp of the construction process, an interest in working with some of the best designers and architects in the industry and a track record of meeting and exceeding the expectations of their position.


Estimator Duties

  • Support the Estimating Department by performing quantity takeoffs from architectural plans for new projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive window and door proposals for clients.
  • Compile Change Orders for active projects following the creation of Record Sets.
  • Produce project-related Word documents and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Develop Shop Drawings for Samples and Mockup submissions.
  • Design and implement new recordkeeping systems through product research to ensure accuracy and adherence to project timelines.
  • Research, evaluate, and integrate new software and tools to enhance Estimating Department operations.
  • Support the rollout and ongoing use of cloud-based platforms including Bluebeam and Salesforce.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong organizational standards.
  • Answer phones and communicate professionally via phone, fax, and email.
  • Perform general office duties as needed throughout the day and week; maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment across the entire team.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with all office staff, vendors, and clients.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Estimating Team to gather all information necessary for accurate proposal preparation.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of architectural plans for each project to develop well-informed proposals.
  • Review, annotate, and mark up architectural plans, including door and window schedules.
  • Prepare clear and detailed Requests for Information (RFIs) for each quoted project to obtain necessary clarifications.
  • Solicit and collect pricing from vendors for materials, hardware, and related items.
  • Forward vendor quotes to the Purchasing Department for pricing verification at time of order.
  • Compile proposal information in an organized and accurate manner.
  • Build Excel quote summary spreadsheets to support estimating and pricing activities.
  • Develop and maintain a weekly project quoting schedule along with any additional assigned tasks.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the President and members of the Estimating Department.
  • Create and standardize templates to streamline and simplify the quoting process.
  • Produce CAD Drawings and Submittal Packets for Samples and Mockups, incorporating the following considerations:
  • Engineering, Structural Integrity, and Physical Operation
  • Hardware Compatibility and Weatherproofing
  • Installation and Waterproofing Requirements, Design, and Aesthetics
  • Project Schedules and Budgets
  • Build and maintain a standardized library of written descriptions and technical terminology for reuse across future projects.
  • Complete all assigned tasks accurately and within established timelines.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of computer experience with proficiency in a variety of software applications.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated office experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD (2D and 3D), Bluebeam, Salesforce, and related software.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to read, interpret, and accurately enter information.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, positive attitude and neat personal presentation.
  • Receptive to constructive feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively within a structured environment.
  • Capable of multitasking and adapting to shifting priorities as needed.


What You Will Get

  • $100,000 - $130,000/year DOE
