Enterprise Project Manager

AllianceHCM
The Woodlands, TX

About the role

AllianceHCM is looking for an Enterprise Project Manager to serve as the connective tissue across our organization — owning the planning, coordination, and delivery of strategic initiatives that span Sales, Finance, Implementation, Customer Service, and Product. This is not a support role. You will be the voice of every project you own, accountable from kickoff through completion, and trusted to drive outcomes that matter to the business.

You will work directly with executive leadership to set goals, align priorities, and remove obstacles — then turn that alignment into action across every team involved. This role is built for someone who leads with influence, communicates with confidence at every level of an organization, knows how to hold people accountable without burning bridges, and brings structure to complexity without slowing momentum.

AllianceHCM is growing, and we have several significant new initiatives on the horizon that will shape the future direction of this company. We need a strong project manager to lead them. This is a genuine opportunity to make a major impact — not just on individual projects, but on where this organization goes from here.

What you'll do

  • Own the full lifecycle of enterprise-wide projects — scope definition, timeline development, resource coordination, milestone tracking, risk mitigation, and delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and communication bridge between executive leadership and all cross-functional project teams.
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans using tools such as Monday.com, Microsoft Project, or equivalent — and hold teams to them.
  • Lead recurring project status meetings with stakeholders across departments including Sales, Finance, Implementation, and Customer Service; produce clear, concise updates for executive audiences.
  • Identify and manage third-party vendor relationships as needed to support project delivery — including scoping work, managing timelines, and holding vendors accountable to commitments.
  • Proactively surface risks, dependencies, and scope changes before they become problems; escalate with context and a proposed path forward.
  • Establish measurable project goals in partnership with leadership and track progress against defined success criteria.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and decision-making by facilitating the right conversations at the right time — even when those conversations are difficult.
  • Document processes, decisions, and outcomes to create institutional knowledge and repeatable project frameworks for the organization.
  • Support and contribute to process improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies across workflows and championing solutions that scale.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of project management experience, with a demonstrated track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives on time and within scope.
  • Proven ability to communicate and present effectively to executive and C-suite audiences — concise, credible, and direct.
  • Strong experience managing cross-functional teams across departments such as Sales, Finance, Operations, and Technology without direct authority.
  • Hands-on proficiency with project management tools such as Monday.com, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or comparable platforms.
  • Solid understanding of business process analysis and the ability to identify process gaps, redundancies, or improvement opportunities.
  • Experience managing external vendor relationships, including scoping, accountability, and performance tracking.
  • Comfortable being assertive — this role requires someone who will push back, follow up relentlessly, and keep projects moving even when momentum stalls.

Nice to have

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Background in HCM, SaaS, payroll, or enterprise software environments.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with change management principles and how to bring teams along through organizational transitions.
  • Exposure to working within a high-growth, fast-scaling technology company.
