Energy Transactions Manager (PPAs | Clean Energy | Growth Role)

Polar Consulting
Michigan, United States

Hybrid (Jackson, MI) | Flexibility considered

Step into high-impact clean energy transactions

Join a growing energy advisory team where you’ll work directly on utility-scale PPA transactions and competitive procurements—supporting deals that shape how utilities and large energy buyers meet their clean energy goals.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build deeper transaction ownership and progress into senior deal leadership over time.

What you’ll do

  • Support and progressively lead PPA transactions (drafting, negotiation, execution)
  • Contribute to competitive procurement processes (RFPs/RFQs) for wholesale power
  • Work closely with Legal and senior stakeholders on contract structuring and risk allocation
  • Support regulatory filings and compliance reporting
  • Get hands-on exposure to end-to-end transaction lifecycle
  • Collaborate across Legal, Credit, Accounting, and external counterparties

Why this role stands out

  • Build real transaction experience: move beyond support into ownership
  • Clear progression path into senior transaction leadership
  • High-impact work: PPAs and procurements that directly influence clean energy strategy
  • Broad exposure across utilities, clients, and market stakeholders

We’re looking for

You don’t need everything listed below — we’re most interested in a strong foundation and growth mindset.

  • 4–7 years of experience in energy, utilities, or related commercial roles
  • Exposure to PPAs, energy contracts, or transaction processes
  • Familiarity with power markets (MISO, PJM, ERCOT or similar)
  • Experience working with contracts, procurement processes, or structured transactions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams

Working model

This role is hybrid (3 days/week onsite in Jackson, MI). We’re open to discussing flexibility for candidates with relevant experience.
