Role Description

This is a full-time, primarily remote role for a National Account Manager – Oil & Gas Funds, with periodic travel to key intermediary home offices and conferences. The National Account Manager will play a critical role in securing and expanding firm-level platform relationships (wirehouses, independent broker-dealers, RIAs, private banks, and family office networks) to drive capital formation for the firm’s oil and gas investment vehicles. Day-to-day responsibilities include targeting and onboarding new distribution platforms, managing ongoing due diligence and product reviews, negotiating selling agreements and economic terms, and coordinating with wholesalers and internal stakeholders to maximize flows from each platform. The National Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for home-office product, research, and alternative investment teams, ensuring the firm’s oil and gas funds are properly positioned, approved, and supported across all national accounts.


Qualifications

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills for developing and maintaining home-office and platform-level relationships across national accounts.
  • Proven expertise in intermediary / platform sales, including experience with product onboarding, selling agreements, and platform economic negotiations for alternative or private investment funds.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate investment, product, and operational due diligence processes, including responding to DDQs, RFPs, and ongoing review requests for oil and gas or real asset strategies.
  • Analytical skills to assess platform potential, monitor AUM and flows by channel, and identify incremental growth opportunities within existing and prospective national accounts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills for engaging investment committees, product teams, compliance, and senior decision makers at distribution partners.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams (wholesaling, portfolio management, legal/compliance, operations, marketing/IR) to ensure timely onboarding, accurate data delivery, and consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales reporting tools to track national account pipelines, platform status, due diligence milestones, and asset flows.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; relevant securities licenses and/or alternative investment certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in the energy, oil and gas, or investment management industry—particularly in raising capital through intermediary platforms or alternative investment channels—is highly beneficial.
