Since 1973, Taber Extrusions has been a leading manufacturer of aluminum extrusion-based products for OEMs in markets ranging from Military, Department of Defense, Aircraft/Aerospace, Marine/Shipbuilder, Boat Docks, Platforms, Decking, Motor Housing, Electronics, Heat Sinks, Automotive, Rail, and Structural Components. Taber is headquartered in Russellville, Arkansas and operates two manufacturing sites in Russellville and one manufacturing site located in Gulfport, Mississippi. The Company is segmented into five operating units; Extrusion, Cast House, Fabrication, Friction Stir Welding and Micro Extrusion. Taber has continued to make ongoing investments in their value-added capabilities by recently expanding their Russellville facility to house their new friction stir welder and new state of the art 10,000-ton press with 16" container

designed for larger, complex profiles with tighter tolerances for the aerospace, defense, and heavy industrial customers.


Job Summary

The individual will be accountable to achieve the key metrics for growing sales and profitability within the Northeast region as set by Taber's Commercial leadership team through generating new opportunities with potential accounts and expanding our current relationships within key target accounts. The role is a remote position with extensive travel to customers and Taber locations.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver on Annual Operating Plan for the Northeast region as established by the Taber Commercial leadership team.
  • Utilize knowledge of company products, services and value-added applications to maximize sales and margin opportunities for current and prospective customers
  • Work with established list of leads to generate opportunities and well as develop new leads that align with our sales strategy to generate growth opportunities within the defined territory, and occasionally outside the territory as needed.
  • Strengthen relationships by spending time on site with customers on a regular cadence.
  • Ensures inside sales team is aligned with strong goals to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Co-Owner of material forecast process for all customers.
  • Continually identify opportunities for margin enhancement.
  • Provide management with the necessary reporting on a regular and ad hoc basis.
  • Utilizes functional resources to develop opportunities at the customer level (VA/VE)
  • Required to visit customer offices at reasonable regular intervals to deepen relationships.
  • Own the customer relationship by ensuring consistent and timely follow up to customer and key stakeholder inquiries; operate with a sense of urgency.
  • Builds cross functional team and customer trust, values others, creative problem solving, and demonstrates high integrity. Works closely with Taber operations and finance.
  • Instills a passion for developing deep relationships with core customers.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in national account management within the aluminum extrusion industry or related metals industry supporting industries such as Military, Department of Defense, Aircraft/Aerospace, Marine/Shipbuilder, Boat Docks, Platforms, Decking, Motor Housing, Electronics, Heat Sinks, Automotive, Rail, and Structural Components.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales and market data.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to travel nationally as required.
