We are hiring a Electromechanical Manufacturing Technician to join our growing team. This technician will support the assembly and build of our instrument platform. This role will focus on hands-on assembly of complex electromechanical systems including mechanical structures, fluidic systems, and internal electrical wiring within a complex instrument chassis. The Manufacturing Technician will play a critical role in executing prototype and pilot builds, supporting the transition from engineering development to scalable manufacturing. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced development environment and has experience assembling complex scientific or electromechanical instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on assembly of complex electromechanical instruments
  • Assemble mechanical chassis, structural components, and internal subassemblies
  • Install and route fluidic systems, including tubing, manifolds, pumps, and valves
  • Install and route electrical wiring and harnesses within instrument enclosures
  • Integrate mechanical, electrical, and fluidic subsystems within the instrument chassis
  • Execute engineering prototype builds, design verification builds, and pilot production builds
  • Follow detailed work instructions and assembly procedures
  • Verify correct installation and alignment of components during assembly
  • Escalate assembly issues or deviations to engineering or operations teams
  • Support troubleshooting and rework activities when required
  • Complete required manufacturing documentation including Device History Records (DHR), build travelers, traceability records
  • Record serial numbers and part traceability information
  • Document deviations or observations during builds
  • Provide redlines or suggested improvements to assembly instructions
  • Provide feedback to engineering and operations teams regarding build challenges or assembly issues
  • Document observations that may improve manufacturability or assembly efficiency
  • Support continuous improvement of assembly processes during pilot builds

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years of experience assembling complex electromechanical systems
