Electro-mechanical Assembler

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electro-mechanical Assembler to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of medical devices. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and strict adherence to specifications and quality standards. The Mechanical Assembler will work both independently and collaboratively to ensure efficient production and reliable product performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, wire, program, test, and package electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies with minimal supervision
  • Perform functional testing of systems, components, and subassemblies in accordance with quality assurance standards
  • Troubleshoot equipment and assemblies, making adjustments and repairs as needed with minimal guidance
  • Analyze test results on defective units to determine root cause and complete necessary repairs
  • Document discrepancies and quality defects accurately in production and quality records
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, technicians, and other cross-functional personnel to resolve production issues
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives and work toward becoming a subject matter expert in multiple production areas
  • Perform soldering tasks, including wire and terminal soldering, through-hole components, and minimal surface-mount work
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience with soldering, SMT, electro-mechanical assembly, hydraulics, pneumatics, and blueprint reading
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and function as a maintenance technician when required
  • Expertise in wiring, machine building, and mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assemblies
  • Ability to interpret complex technical documentation, including schematics and assembly drawings
  • Excellent manual dexterity and ability to occasionally lift 50–70 lbs
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures

  • Large, open, temperature-controlled warehouse and assembly area
  • High ceilings and bright, well-organized workstations
  • Quiet shop floor ideal for focused, detail-oriented work
  • Small production team of approximately eight employees, fostering collaboration and autonomy

This is a Contract position based out of Chaska, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
